Chapter 23 : Music

If I could write a song,
I would sing the blues

I would sing of love
and longing, old and new

I would pick up the pace
and tap my feet

Tap Tap Tappin'
Can you feel the beat ?

It would set some
passing heart free

And they would smile
and nod knowingly at me.

Blues, like the ink of the night
Dancing like a swan in flight

Some day, some time...
I yearn,

But the years have already

While I wondered
 and carelessly ambled along,

Set to tune of its own,
Time wrote me a lovely song

That I keep re writing
And saying, "If only I could...

And life is now saying
"Dammit, its about time you should"

- In honor of NoLA, the spirit of Jazz, the feeling of nonchalance, to being free, in honor of all the wonderful musicians who play like they couldn't give a damn and create something that transcends everything. Seven girls from India, found love friendship and family in each other in San Diego, California,  they went to New Orleans, Louisiana and found themselves profoundly moved and bound together by the music. If that isnt a magical thing, then I don't know what is.

"I never heard of a jazz musician who retired. You love what you do, so what are you going to do? Play for the walls?"

Chapter 22 - A haiku

Love is a flower,
Magnolias in spring
on a rainy day.
