A little chirp

Its time for coos and gurgles,
teary sighs and delight,
The fairies bring upon their wings
a never before sight !

A baby oh so precious,
Joys sweeter than honey,
Once was just not enough,
M is once again Mommy !

The sun and moon wait on you
Hand and foot, while you sleep.
Welcome to our world little princess,
It is now yours to keep.

Written for M's Sprinkle and to welcome her precious baby S.

Three is company.

Two was perfect,
Until "Us" became "We".
Now, what is life
without Mowgli ?

Life, now full
of little stuff.
Just you and me is
not enough.

Not enough,
Not complete,
Two is odd,
Three is company.

But here is a toast
to you and me,
A shout out to times
that used to be.

A wish for years
yet to see,
Love, Laughter, Mowgli
Happy Wedding Anniversary!

Written for our 4th wedding anniversary (24th JAn 2011) which is more special than ever because of Mowgli !

Mowgli on the prowl.

Hark o Hark and beware,
The wolf brothers growl
Its been 5 months
Now Mowgli is on the prowl.

On his fours he looks around,
For an easy prey
Stealthily he moves around
Keep your precious things away.

When he is stuck he grimaces,
his smile turns into a scowl,
Hark o Hark and beware
Mowgli is on the prowl.

Lessons and Resolution

No single event in my life has been as fulfilling, transforming and enriching as having Mowgli. Last year was one that I dedicate to two people. Mowgli - whose presence I felt every day, every waking moment. Patti - whose absence I felt in equal measure for it would have been she, who would have been the happiest for me. Personally, the decade could not have ended better. A fitting end to a long and wonderful journey from where I was and where I am now.

One of the best things about a baby, inside or out, is the fact that there is no yesterday or tomorrow. There is only a "Now". And there is something incredible about living like that. Something only a baby can do and make you do.

Resolutions for this year and the decade to follow:
1. Make every moment count.
2. Lose 10 pounds.
3. Start dancing.
4. Stop being a control freak.
5. Make more money.
6. Write more often
7. Make every moment count.

Its late and I must now sleep. Tomorrow I will wake up to a new day, a new year, new challenges and a baby with big eyes and a wide grin on his face looking at me as I try and catch a few more winks of sleep.

Hello 2011 !
