Almost two.

A couple of weeks ago, Mowgli while playing lay down in my lap. I must have said something about him being my baby. I dont recall but Mowgli, he has the memory of an elephant. Only a few days to go before his second birthday, and yesterday he said "Amma, I want to be amma's baby". I did not at all understand what he was saying because "Ofcourse you are Amma's baby" was not the reaction he expected. He finally said "Amma sit. Amma leg like that." Thats when I got it. When he lay down in my lap and smiled up at me and said "I am amma's baby", I wanted to hit the pause button on life. Except there is none. My baby is almost 2 years old. Sigh !!
